Star Spangled South Riding

Star Spangled South Riding

Thursday, July 3rd  6pm - 10pm

Let’s take it higher once again at The South Riding Golf Club. Let's get creative for our 4th annual Star Spangled South Riding, a patriotic tribute celebrating our Country’s 232nd birthday. SPECIAL Thanks to the South Riding Golf Club for closing their greens and opening up their grounds for this great event!

Decorate your bikes, trikes, buggies, strollers & wagons. Build a small float, come as Uncle Sam, an eagle, the Statue of Liberty or whatever red, white and blue inspiration you might have. Walk as a block, a group such as scouts, alumni, sport teams or just by yourselves in our kick off parade.

Meet in the Center St. & South Riding Blvd. parking lot at 5:30 to get into formation. The parade will begin at 6:00PM onto Center Street, taking a right on Upper Clubhouse leading us straight into the South Riding Golf Course. It’s a mere ½ mile so anyone can handle it. Bring a blanket, your chair your own picnic or purchase dinner at our Stars & Stripes Picnic Pavillion, or pick up a light bite at the snack shack.

Absolutely no alcohol is permitted to be brought into the course. However, if you are 21, you may purchase beer and wine from the beverage tent.

6:00 – Parade
7:00 – Concert – Kings of Swing

KOS, the "KINGS OF SWING" have been playing classic swing and the best of Beach, Motown, and "rock and roll" for over 25 years and still have people of all ages crowding dance floors up and down the east coast! From a festive open air concert to the most ultra-formal black tie affair, KOS (KINGS OF SWING) have enthusiasm and
showmanship that are sure to please. They will play American Classics with an ample mix of Patriotic Favorites to celebrate our country’s 231st.

9:30 – Spectacular Stars and Stripes Fireworks Display
